Build le perfect board

Avaline was made by friends, for friends, and what better way to spend time with the ones you love this spring than by sipping a glass of Avaline with a beautiful charcuterie board on the table? It’s the perfect pairing if you ask us, and there’s something delicious for everyone. Best of all—it’s simple (yes, really!) In this guide, you’ll find everything you need to create “le perfect board,” from ingredient lists, to styling tips, and the best Avaline wine pairings.

Le Perfect Board

Pairs well with: Avaline White

  • Light & Fresh

Our White blend is crisp and dry, with notes of citrus, making it a beautiful pairing for flavors you would expect on the warm Mediterranean coast, where it was made. Add bright fruits, creamy cheeses, salty olives and nuts, and satisfyingly crunchy crackers and toasts to your board when you’re serving Avaline White.

  • What You'll Need

    • -Fresh green grapes
    • -Dried apricots
    • -Crumbled feta cheese
    • -A gooey wheel of Triple Crème Brie
    • -Bite-sized slivers of manchego cheese
    • -Salted Marcona almonds
    • -A small bowl of fig preserves
    • -Pitted Castelvetrano olives
    • -Spanish olive oil crackers
    • -A stack of mini toasts
  • How to Style this Board

Space your grapes and cheeses across your board—these take up the most space, so they’ll serve as your anchors. Fill the gaps in between each ingredient with your other accoutrements so that the board looks full and inviting. Get creative here, alternating colors and textures where you can. Use a small dish for your Marcona almonds if you need to. Finally, add small spoons, forks and cheese knives where you see fit (a knife near your Brie, for instance, and a spoon in your bowl of preserves) to make serving simple.

Le Perfect Board

Pairs well with: Avaline Red

  • Smooth & Rich

Our Red blend hits the right balance between light and full, with notes of cherry and the perfect touch of spice. Rich flavors and textures will complement this wine’s smoothness perfectly. A combination of soft and aged cheeses, classic salami, fresh fruit, the warm nuttiness of walnuts and chocolate-covered almonds, plus cherry preserves to bring out the notes in the wine are all wonderful pairings when you’re serving Avaline Red.

  • What You'll Need

    • -A log of fresh goat cheese
    • -Merlot-soaked hard cheese
    • -A wedge of Pecorino romano cheese
    • -Toasted walnut pieces
    • -Fresh red grapes
    • -Thin slices of Genoa salami
    • -A small bowl of cherry preserves
    • -Ripe, fresh cherries
    • -Gooey Medjool dates
    • -Dark chocolate covered almonds
  • How to Style this Board

Place your Pecorino and Merlot cheeses at opposite ends of your board, with your fresh goat cheese in between. Add the rest of your ingredients in between, alternating between fresh flavors (like fruit) and richer flavors (like salami or nuts). Add some extra flair by rolling your salami into small rolls so they’re easy to grab. Place the utensils you need near each ingredient: a spoon in your preserves, knives for the cheeses, and a small fork or pair of tongs for the rest.

Le Perfect Board

Pairs well with: Avaline Rosé

  • Bold & Bright

Our Rosé is light and fresh with notes of melon and zest—what we love most about this French sip is that it pairs well with just about everything, especially bold flavors. There’s no need to shy away from strong cheeses like Gouda and Blue Cheese. Add these, plus savory accompaniments like prosciutto, Kalamata olives and marinated artichokes to your board, and balance out the boldness with bright, fresh fruits like strawberries and pears when you’re serving Avaline Rosé.

  • What You'll Need

    • -Creamy aged Gouda
    • -A soft wedge of Brie
    • -Crumbled Blue Cheese
    • -Thin slices of prosciutto
    • -Pitted Kalamata olives
    • -Fresh ripe strawberries
    • -A handful of pistachios
    • -A small bowl of honey
    • -Thinly sliced pears
    • -Marinated artichokes
  • How to Style this Board

Place each of your cheeses at opposite ends of the board, then add folded slices of prosciutto between them. Fill in the center of your board with the rest of your ingredients, including the bowl of honey, to create beautiful pops of color and plenty of contrasting textures. Add in the silverware you need—a spoon or special dipper for the honey, a knife for the cheeses, and toothpicks or a small pair of tongs for everything else.
