Director of National Accounts

I’m Cyndi Dieterich, Vice President of National Accounts at Avaline. We’re looking to expand our sales team with a strong Director of National Accounts. This is a remote position and can be based anywhere in the US.


Responsibilities will include:

  • Maintain and develop professional and meaningful business relationships with targeted National/Regional Account decision-makers.
  • Manage SKU priorities by brand and review execution against these standards within each key national account.
  • Execute/drive company plans to achieve desired results for both channel depletions and PODS.
  • Collaborate with marketing to create and implement programs to drive in-store programming.
  • Implement sales performance measures and targets with key accounts.
  • Prepare forecasts for budgets and depletions for all brands on an as-needed basis.
  • Recap performance, activities, progress, opportunities, and challenges on National Retail Account Tracker on a monthly basis.
  • Fiscal responsibility for assigned budgets including departmental and direct spending.
  • Oversee National retail pricing to ensure brand standards are within guidelines. Broad understanding of how to create, maintain and negotiate suggested pricing.
  • Attend applicable trade, distributor, and customer events. Involvement with industry trade organizations to develop relationships with key decision makers at major customers.

  • Proficiency with MS Office with emphasis on Excel and PowerPoint skills.
  • Proficiency with IRI, Nielson and other category management tools.
  • Home based with heavy/moderate travel calling on account and spending time in trade with distributor partners.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or related area OR equivalent years working experience in related area in lieu of degree required.
  • 8-10 years of Alcohol Beverage Experience, preferably with chain retail experience.

The Director of National Accounts position comes with a salary range of $120,000 - $140,000 per year + 25% annual bonus + $500 monthly car allowance + $75 monthly electronics allowance.
