Creamy Smoked Trout Dip
This recipe is a part of our Community Cookbook series. We tapped seven members from our community to bring you simple, crowd-pleasing dishes to inspire you this holiday season. The best part? Each dish pairs perfectly with a glass of Avaline.
Meet Anna:
Anna Patrikian is a nutritional therapy practitioner and a food stylist. She makes gorgeous images out of her wholesome recipes, and she in the process of launching her holistic health coaching practice, Kitchen Healing. We love her creamy smoked trout dip recipe because of how complex the flavors are with very minimal effort involved. This is the perfect dish to whip up when you don't have a lot of time. It pairs well with Avaline Sparkling, but any of our whites would go nicely. Check out Anna's Instagram for more inspiration @annapatrikian.

Q & A:
Tell us a little bit about yourself & why you love to cook.
I am a Nutritional Therapy Practitioner so food is the foundation of what I'm all about! I have always loved cooking and making tablescapes. I grew up with my grandmother and mom always cooking so it inspired me to learn, and to make nutritious, healthy food as an adult.
What’s your favorite thing about sharing food & wine with friends?
I think food and wine tastes better surrounded by friends sharing moments of connection. Hosting friends for a dinner party is one of my favorite things to do.
Why do you think your recipe pairs so well with Avaline?
Salty, creamy trout dip goes perfectly with the crispness of Avaline's bubbles. Dip your chip with one hand and clink your glass with the other! What's better than that?
A note from Anna:
This recipe comes together super quickly—all you really need is a bowl, a fork and a grater. I like serving it with potato chips, but you can also swipe cut veggies into it (carrot, cucumber, radishes, and even endive leaves would be great) or spread it onto a slice of toast.

Directions:
Flake the trout with a fork and add to a bowl, then add sour cream, lemon juice and dill. Plate the trout tip into another bowl (a pretty one, for serving) and grate your lemon zest over it. Top with a little freshly ground black pepper and serve with potato chips.
